Course Work
Each week, you receive a new assignment.
Week 1: You will receive a side that’s based on your castability and specific genre to start to learn how to incorporate tone and story into your work.
We will also discuss how to understand our marketability and where you fit in the industry. Also, incorporate what kind of work YOU want to work on and lights you up inside.
Week 2: Research what TV shows are being produced in your market and work for your castability. You’ll be guided to find a scene that challenges you and is well-structured. Find a 2-3 page scene to bring into class that is from that show or similar tone to that show.
Week 3: You will receive a genre of show and based on your castability research a side that fits for you and bring into class that week. 2-3 page scene.
Week 4: You will receive a scene that is a stretch scene. This scene is meant to challenge you and allow you to practice what to do with a scene that you’re not quite sure what to do with.
If the episode has already aired, you can post your takes to your website, social media, Actors Access, and share them with your reps! This is a great tool to use for your marketing and to help you receive more auditions.
